A well designed automatic irrigation system conserves more water compared to the conventional methods of watering grass. Watering through a sprinkler system allows for water distribution to be measured accordingly in order to only reach the areas of the landscape where it is required, thus avoiding: driveways, streets, walls, windows, neighbours' properties, etc.

The sprinkler timer provided is programmed to use the proper amounts of water, therefore overwatering is avoided. The controller is also scheduled to respect municipal watering restrictions.
